Stepping into my role six months ago, I embarked on a mission to streamline our execution processes, refine templates, and foster clearer communication across our global teams. Guided by an incredibly supportive leadership team, I've been empowered to take ownership of my responsibilities, contributing actively from the initial bid phase to project handover. On a more personal note, my journey as a Mechanical Engineer with a Master's in Power Plant Engineering has taken me across continents – from the vibrant streets of South Asia to the historic landscapes of Europe and the dynamic cities of the Middle East. Each journey has enriched my professional experience, allowing me to immerse myself in diverse cultures and industry landscapes. Today, I call London home, where I enjoy engaging in lively discussions about renewable industry challenges and perspectives with my husband, who shares a similar passion, and our son, a bright graduate from Cambridge, now making waves at Goldman Sachs.

Richard Batty, Technical Manager

In my role, I get to engage with the clients in all the stages of the bidding process. We help the clients with the design, sizing and all project activities to support in every way we can. And that is highly appreciated, we see a great number of repeating clients that come back requesting our support. We are easy to work with from a customer point of view and that means we are doing things right. Why customers choose us? Firstly, we have our own product, we manufacture our own SolBank battery and the market feedback goes back into R&D to develop a new generation of batteries. SolBank 3.0 is the latest iteration with the power of 5 MWh. Secondly, our team is strong and growing, we have close to 50 people in the UK. Lastly, we are the safe choice for our clients, enjoying the Canadian Solar backing and we are a trusted partner for the investors. But beyond this, we are building long-term relationships with our clients, aiming to work together for 20 years on each project, and that says a lot about our commitment to quality and service.

Colin Hopper, Construction manager

My background is in renewable energy and solar and my favorite part about the industry is learning new skills and working with innovative technology. I started as a contractor for Canadian Solar and I am excited to see the accelerated growth and future opportunities. The biggest reward about working in renewables for me is getting to see the UK and not being in one location all the time. This is extremely rewarding because I get to learn new skills and keep up with the market innovations. It's just fantastic to be a part of this team, growing to be the front-runners of the energy market in the UK, where Canadian Solar doesn't just build something but innovating with better equipment and solutions. That is a guarantee that you are never left behind. Personally, I live in a Cambridge, I am a sports fan, and a family man, I have an amazing wife and three daughters. Well, lucky me, so that's why sometimes when I sit in meetings or go through challenging situations with clients and subcontractors, my patience and problem solving skills are very good.

I currently work in our Global HR division covering the UK and EMEA, bringing 20 years of experience in HR and Recruitment, including 5 years dedicated to Technology, Engineering, and Renewables. Our success in the UK is not just about creating jobs; it's about building longterm careers that contribute to a sustainable future. Currently, we have exciting opportunities available at various levels and departments including Servicing, Commissioning, Operations and Projects in various locations including the UK, EMEA, APAC, LATAM, USA and Canada.
